Camellia magnoliaflora bloom has brown edges

My camellia magnoliaflora looks like this:

With the brown edges and a few brown spots. I don't think it's petal blight (scary!), because the flowers don't get all brown and squashy in a few days. Plus, I wouldn't think the International society would put up a representative picture of a sick flower. What causes the brown? Can I make the flowers look perfect? It's my first camellia, so I'm a newbie to the plant. I do have another camellia, but it hasn't bloomed yet; one bud this year though!

Hello, jennie. Slight browning at the edges of the flower petals may be caused by sun, wind or cold temperatures. Suspect a disease problem if the brown area rapidly spreads to the center of the flower and eventually covers the whole flower. Luis
