Blackish spots on camillia leaves

Posted by NWgarden_addict z8 OR (My Page) on

I have a camillia that has been in the ground for about 6 months and has gotten black spots on its leaves and the leaves also seem to be curling. The spots are not fuzzy they almost seem like a mottled bumpy pattern on the bottom of the leaf which is dark enough to show through onto the top. I'm not sure what it is or how to help the poor thing, any suggestions?

RE: Blackish spots on camillia leaves

This is the normal time of year for old leaves to drop and some will get spotted in the process. If the problem has persisted, and you can post a picture maybe we can help. Or e-mail me and I will send you the name of someone in your area who can perhaps go look at it.

It seems that you are right! Just a few days ago I noticed a bunch of new leaves coming out and the old spotted ones look like they are dropping off. It'll live after all! :o) Thanks again for the feedback.
