Sources for tea Camellia in San Diego

Posted by azcactus 9 (My Page) on

I'll be in the San Diego area over Memorial Day weekend and I was interested in visiting any nurseries that might carry Camellia Sinensis (spelling?)_-- the one that is grown for tea. Especially any nurseries that are in the Vista area. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rich

RE: Sources for tea Camellia in San Diego

The only good camellia nursery that I know in CA is closer to Los Angeles. Nuccio's Nursery is located in Altadena, CA:

3555 Chaney Trail; Altadena, California 91001; Telephone (626)794-3383

They do not have much of a website but call them if interested. Other possibilities might be nurseries on the southeast coast. What state do you live in, Rich?
