Grafting question

stuckinthedirt

I have several camellia seedlings growing this summer, and would like to graft them to new plants in the spring. Is it ok to graft several seedlings to different branches of the same plant? I don't have any "extra" camellias that I could use as rootstock, so I was thinking of just grafting them to one of my bushes growing in my yard. I would then just label the branch, so I knew which branches were from which seedlings. Has anyone tried this? Are there any problems? The advantage for me is I could evaluate several seedlings on one plant.

Thanks,

Ed
