RE: my potted camellia leaves have a brown rim

There are two simple observations of unusual formation on leaves:

1. Large, irregular brown spots on surface of camellia leaves, possible facing the sun. It is cause by sun burn.

2. Very dark brown or black formation at leave rim area and tip of the new growth. It is chemical burn, caused by too much fertilizer.
