Blooming too Soon?

My husband fell in love with the yuletide, so he bought one and planted it this spring. This weekend we noticed that a flower had bloomed. We figured that this was just a fluke, but this morning we noticed two more flowers. Is this normal to have a camellia bloom this far out of season(yuletides are late season bloomers)? Is there any way to verify that this is even a yuletide?

RE: Blooming too Soon?

Yuletide are late bloomers. Your plant may not be a yuletide. Type in yuletide camellia in google-
the first link will take you to a picture of a blossom.
