flowers drop fast?

Last winter my camelia bloomed, but the flowers didn't last very long before they dropped to the ground. Is this the way camelias do?

| To have a long flowering, you must give water all along summer and automn to your camellia. If it has not enough water, the buds will not grow enough and drop fast during the flowering. I hope I was clear. Thank you for advance. Laurie. |
