| Hey klajeck, I just brought a Kanjiro home the other day. It most closely resembles some of the beautiful flowering camellias i have been admiring in other people's landscapes. As i understand, Kanjiro is a vigorous upright grower that can get to 10+ feet high at maturity and it is cold hardy down to 10F. It may be borderline hardy in your climate, but if you put it in a protected location you shouldnt have any problems. Even if it is topkilled from extreme cold, it should sprout back if the roots have been well protected with mulch. I think you made a good choice. -christian |
