Thought's on 'Winter's Rose'

After doing some reading, I've come to think that most camellias won't do well in my zone (6a) unless they are bred for winter hardiness. "Winter's Rose" is one of these winter hardy camellias that has some really neat blossoms on it (or so the pictures on the net showed).
Has anybody grown this? What is it's growth rate?
If you ordered it, where did you order it from and would you recommend the company?

Thanks,

Heather

Check out this site. Go down to the section on 'Hardy Camellias' I am sure you can find one that you like. The prices seem reasonable. I have no idea if it is a reputable company or not. Perhaps someone else has heard of them. The c.Oleiferas in their catalogue are beautiful!!

I think you are right about your zone. Even in Zone 8, we sometimes have winter damage. You will need one that blooms early in the season.
