I'm pretty new to Camellias. Want to buy a book on growing them. Presently have 12 Camellias doing well in our yard. Want to add lots more. What is the absolutely best book to have on Camellia culture???

The best book is "The Camellia" by David L. Feathers, Editor. Associate editor - Milton H. Brown. Copyright - 1978. It is out of print, but look for it in used book stores.

Is there really a 'best' book? My personal favorite on this subject is "The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Camellias", by Stirling Macoboy. It's published by Timber press......and is very much still in print!

Here is a link that might be useful: Timber Press

Macoboy's book is great for photo's of camellia blooms, but does not have that much information on the various aspects of Camellia culture. Another great book with excellent photography is "The Camellia Story" by Tom Durrant of New Zealand. "Camellia Culture" by E. C. Tourje (1958) is also a good book on culture but, is very hard to find.

Thanks so much for the book info. Have found a couple online and am excited to get them. Again, thanks
