Variable Flowers of 'Jean May'

Posted by greenguy1 z7 Maryland (My Page) on

My Jean May sasanqua is quite variable in flower form. Some of the flowers are full anemone form (verging toward peony form at times) with almost all of the stamens petaloid; others are single and semi-double with almost no petaloid stamens, and there is everything in between. Is this variability a commonly seen trait of Jean May?

RE: Variable Flowers of 'Jean May'

The flowers of Jean May can be quite variable in form. Ours in Georgia do the same as yours! So it is obviously a common trait.
