I have an autumn spirit camellia that I planted spring 2008. Last fall it bloomed very well giving me many flowers over a long period. This year there seems to be lots of buds on the plant but no flowers. The buds are all still very small - they never swelled - and are green with deep red tips.

I have the plant on the northeast side of my house where is gets good late morning sun. It is next to a down spout, so it should have gotten plenty of water most of the year, and the soil drains well. I fertilized it once or twice with Holly Tone, and would occasionally give it extra water during dry periods.

Any idea what is going on? Might it bloom in the spring this year?
