| We have recently moved to the Mts. of Western NC and I would like to know if it is ok to plant our camellia outside.I know it can get cold here but not sure how cold. It has lots of budsWe are also kind of limited with room indoors. thanks dave |

| Zone 7 is about the limit for most outdoors, and I know coatal NC is warmer and they do well there , I'd guess, you might find though in the mountains that you get some exteme cold from time to time, but look around your area for signs that other camellias are planted there, and doing fine. That's the easiest way to see which plants are hardy in a particular area. |
