West coast wintergreen to warm easterners

This current weather is a classic weather pattern with a huge portion of North America under a big freeze this week. Only the southern tip of Florida is expected to escape this freeze on the east side of the continent.

This video is intended to warm up gardeners east of the Rockies and feature the Strawberry Tree for west coast gardeners during the month of January on British Columbia's coast. There was no Internet to see videos of milder places when I lived in Ontario. I remember my car not wanting to start or myself not wanting to get up for work. Victoria has mahonias and some camellias in flower at the moment. And yes, trusty heathers.
