Ordering through catalog

I am in the Ottawa region and am think I will order my fruit trees on line this year. I read it is better to buy bare root than in a bucket through a nursery. I will take input on this also. Would I better offer ordering from as close as possible? Thanks.

Hi Cookie,

I think you would be better off going to a local nursery and choosing your trees. Then you know exactly what you are getting for the price. You will also avoid shipping and handling fees.

Most definitely, buy at a nursery in person. You will get a much bigger, healthier plant than you would receive by mail.

well I would say buy through a nursery. They do provide you a guarantee if the plant dies within a year. They can provide you with extra services (with charge) of delivery and digging, planting the trees too.
