seedless watermelons

The other day when I was shopping I saw this small watermelon and decided to try it. The sign said it was a seedless melon. That night we tried it and found it to be dry and flavorless. Has anyone else ever tried one or grew them? I was wondering if they would taste different if you grew them at home? Marg

RE: seedless watermelons

I've tasted them before and the ones I tried were okay. I guess it must have been a bad batch or perhaps it's one that travelled far to get here and that usually that means they are picked and shipped unripe.
