| Since Ontario government banned all fungicides including product such as Nodamp, what alternative fungicides or 'green' approaches are you using for sowing seeds and seedlings? |

| cinnamon is supposed to work pretty well. I've also heard of using weak chamomile tea or diluted hydrogen peroxide. I've never used any before, so I can't attest to their success. |

I have used cinnamon with good success. Just keep a shaker of it and use to sprinkle on the surface of the soil. Usually one application is good. Last year I heard of the chamomile tea so I got a package at the dollar store and made it about half strength or a bit weaker. Used this to water the seedlings whenever they needed water. It also seemed to work fine as I had no problem with the seedlings I grew inside. |

| I used chamomile with good success. It's an inexpensive remedy. Also, remember air movement is important. I used to put a rotating fan on the seedlings for at least 1 hour a day. I never used a fungicide and had no problems. Also, I used to manually shake each seedling tray on occasion to help toughen the seedlings' tender stems. I grew thousands of seedlings indoors this way without disease before I got a greenhouse. |

| Dilute hydrogen peroxide is common in the greenhouse industry. Some plants may be sensitive. |

Thanks to all for the useful info. coolplantsguy, do you know which plants may be sensitive to peroxide? |

| No, I don't know off-hand. I've only heard suggestions to try it first on a specific plant before main/regular use. |
