Post it in the cacti forum.. From my point of view, I wouldn't do any prunings now. Usually tropicals go thru a form of hibernation during the winter months. As they are coming out of it, I would think they would need their leaves to start grabbing all the sun they need to get going. -- however that's just my own thoughts. My experience with the plant is limited to growing it in my tropical homeland. I don't grow it here in Canada
