Boy, did I hit the nail on the head!

This Belleville article is exactly what I am planning for my 'soon to be gone' front, high maintenance in the heat, front lawn. I want a seating area with ornate stepping stones, a scree bed, ornamental perennials with some annuals this year and tomatoes and veggies - all in one.

Trends for 2007.

Thank you for sharing McPeg. It was interesting reading and I agree with most all it states. At first I thought it was the local Belleville paper, as in Ontario's Belleville. Then I realized it was Belleville, Illinois. :-)
Even though some of the plants they mention won't grow in my zone one can make substitutions and I can certainly see this trend happening all around Ontario as well.
