Where is Rosco? He knows about this stuff.

Often tropical plants will look worse for wear during the winter. They go into a form of hibernation. So my suggestion is be patient. In a few weeks look for signs of life.

I would agree with Ianna and wait patiently before discarding. They may show signs of life yet. I would suggest scratching the outer layer of bark and see if you come across any green under the initial layer. If so...you are good to go. If not...you have probably lost your plant.

I did learn from my previous experience of trying to overwinter them in my attached garage ( which turned out to be too cold last winter) and I lost several. . I have several that I have overwintered this year and which have stayed green because they have been kept in house temperatures under lights. Hope that you are successful. Had a freind over today and we did find some new green grow on some of the vines. Yippie I did not kill it. One for one less for compost.
