Can I grow American Bittersweet in Zone 2B?

I live in Sundre, AB and we are zone 2b. I'm interested in growing american bittersweet along my deck. It has a south and west exposure. Most of the places I look, list this vine as a zone 3. Have you heard any success stories in zone 2B? Thanks in Advance!

Celastrus scandens is hardy from Zone 3-8, you could try it, I have stuff overwinter with extra protection that is not hardy here, like Knifhofia and Rose of Sharon, to name a couple. Janet
