Farmers' and gardeners' traditional right to save seeds is being challenged in the courts by the bio-tech industry.

Here is a link to an article on the subject. This is a very important issue. If Canadians don't speak up now, we could lose our heirloom varieties, as well as the self-sufficiency we now enjoy when we save seeds.

I tried to download the petition to add my name to those opposed to this new ruling...but the link is dead. Can you repost the site for the petition as I would sign it gladly.

Well I sent off a signature to Mr. Harper..although I'm sure he has someone who sorts through all the e-mails and
"Files them" accordingly :(
