Zone 5 - start your cabbage indoors on 15 March

Just a friendly reminder if you are in zone 5 at the end of this week you can start your cabbage indoors. I'm following that planting chart I listed earlier to see if it makes any difference this year.

I also picked up some fabric stakes because this year I'm going to cover my cabbage with row covers to keep off those little white flies that lay eggs with little green caterpillers that poop all over my cabbage and eat holes throughout. Lesson learned last year.

We've been so mild that I seeded out some broccoli, onions, mustard greens and parsley yesterday.

Hope to get peas in and lettuce this weekend.

Hi Magz88 - we could still get a hard frost and even snow. Stranger things have happened like this winter and spring. I'm still waiting here - north of Kingston ON - just in case. At this point my ground is too wet. We are forecast for super warm days and rain over the next week, I'm still waiting to plant outside.
