calla lily question

I started some calla lilies from seed last summer and they did very well. I planted them in the garden and they grew to be about 2" in Sept. I potted them up in Sept and put on windowsill indoors. They did fine for awhile, then began to yellow and die back. I put the pots in the cold basement with the other tender bulbs, hoping that they were just gong dormant and would come back this year.

I brought out the pots about three weeks ago, but no sign of life. Do you think they are still alive? Were they too young to survive the cold basement and drying out for the winter.
