cypress vine and cardinal climber

sallyinontario

I bought two seed packs, different makes - Mrs Fothergills said "Morning Glory" and in small letters "Cypress Vine" - Red.

I also bought Cypress Vine White - by another seed distributor.

The white didn't germinate well and were slow - I have since planted some more and will use more patience, but the red germinated very quickly.

It is now obvious that they are two different varieties - the red has the leaves of the cardinal climber.

I sent an email to Mrs. Fothergills.

If the seed companies can't get it right - I don't know.

Trouble is - I replanted the "cardinal climber" in hanging baskets because my research said that "cypress Vine" can be grown that way.

Does anyone know if the cardinal climber is ok in baskets

Also, does anyone know where I can get RED Cypress Vine seeds.

Hope I haven't confused everyone - thanks
