Gardening in Canada

Need help to identify this

I have a shrub in the backyard that is a bright fushia colour right now. Almost looks like small apple blossoms all over the branches. Later it will have red berries on it for most of the summer. Reminds me also of a Weigiela but it is slow growing and compact.

Any ideas?

Maybe a redbud of some type. Could you post a photo, that would really help to id it.
