Grubs and Beneficial Nematodes

Okay, excuse my ignorance but I've never had a lawn before. I have found a grub here and there while picking weeds the past two weeks. Does this mean I have a problem or are grubs normally found in a lawn and only are a problem when there are tons of them? Should I do something about them? I've been reading about beneficial nematodes, is this a good way of getting rid of grubs? I like the idea of treating them naturally (if I do indeed have a grub problem) rather than chemically.

If you do nematodes do the research for your area for when to apply. I went to buy some yesterday and they were out and went to another nursery and was advised NOT to do until the end of May/early June (they won't even sell them until then) for maximum results whereas the one nursery was ready and willing to sell yesterday - kinda mad and won't go back there because my bill would have been well over $100! I would tackle this now and to help convince you I can send you a pic of my yard last night the raccoons went nuts on it.
