Today I noticed a bunch of mushrooms popping up all through my raised fruit/veggie beds. They are little white things and I've heard that means the soil is good. Can anyone confirm that? Will they out-compete my seedlings and the seeds that haven't germinated yet?

I have them to but mine a flat and brownish. I've heard that mushrooms growing usually means there is wood rotting in the soil. I just rake them in because the ones I have are in my hosta garden and they can take over! Marg

So do you think if I just rake them in my veggies will do ok?
|
I don't see why not. Mushrooms will only add organic matter to the soil.
