Grass? Can u Identify it?

Hi

I have a very funky grass that I purchased at a garage sale last year. It is a plain med. green colour grass with stalks that grow higher than the grass itself. (14")On these wonderful stalks at the top a very attractive seed pod in the shape of a Medival star/ball. Picture a pod that is round made of little pyramids all stuck together.

Have I lost ya? Any idea?
