We don't know the zone you are in. It needs a rest period. If it has been growing for 5 years, and it is happy, I don't understand why one would want to take it out and place it into a warm place where it won't get the required hibernation period, and where it will likely dry up, and/or suffer from light deprivation if it were to not go dormant. To me, it makes no sense, but there must be another motive behind the question. Are you planning a move?
