Hello!
I've been wondering for a while now, I have a Stella cherry tree that's getting it's first cherries this year. It's a self-fertile dwarf tree.
I know with most fruit trees it's not worth saving seeds/pits because the fruit on the new tree likely won't be the same. Will the tree being self fertile make a difference?
Also, since it's a named variety of tree, would I get in trouble trying to grow new trees from the pits, even if it's just for fun?
I guess what I'm asking is, would it be worth it to save them?
Thanks for reading through all that!
