Gardening in Canada

Clamatis ( non dying ) ??

I planted several clamatis vines a few years ago .one yellow,and the others purple.The yellow flowered one has stalks that come back to life each spring, but the purple stalks have to start growing from the bottom again.

I live in Calgary zone 3, and would like some other than yellow flowered ones that have stalks that come back to life . Has anyone heard of any?
