Does anyone know what shrub this is in my garden and how to prune it? Now that the flowers are opening, they smell like Jasmine, but the Jasmine I know, looks different. I'm going to try to post a picture for the first time. shrub?

Looks like a Philadelphus species (Mockorange). The scent is generally thought to be closer to orange blossom then jasmine (hence the name)
