Hi. I have a 'Nora Leigh' Phlox and, like you, I bought it for the foliage. I had it for 4 years before it started to revert to green. I had it in my holding bed and decided to divide it in half and move half to the bed out front. The half moved out front stayed variegated but the half left behind reverted to green. The variegated one sends out green shoots every so often and I just pull them off. Marg

When you moved it, were the growing conditions the same? I was wondering if the location/light/moisture/etc., may have had something to do with it reverting.

I've heard of a lot of the variegated foliage plants reverting to green. The one I moved was moved and put into a raised bed but other than that it had the same growing conditions. My variegated sedum also started to revert so I pulled out the 2 green stems and stuck them in water to root. The euonymus bushes are also notorious for doing that. In the case of my phlox, the white flowers with the pink eye show up better on the green plant so I left it alone. I still keep the variegated one tho. Marg

Well I shoved the trowel down between the two different stems and pulled out the stems with the solid foliage. There were roots, so I have it potted up for now. I am always pleased to get 'new' plants, and am looking forward to seeing how it looks when it flowers.
