| Hi, we planted some "berri basket" everbearing strawberries this year. Thinking about getting another 1-2 varieties of strawberries to grow. Anyone knows where to find strawberries plants/seedings, in & around Scarborough, North York (Ontario)? Don't want to get those boxed bare-root one as we never had any luck with those :(
Or does anyone has some spare runners or old mother plants that are available (free or for sale)? :) Looking for, eg Kent, Tristar, Tribute or something like those. I checked Sheridan and they do have a few left.... but it's $25 a pot. It's a 1 or 2 gallon pot, pretty good size, but still, $25?! arhhh |

| Perhaps you could try going to Stouville fleamarket on weekends or to Jacobs Market on Sat. I got a tray full of strawberries from Stouville last year for only $10. There are also strawberry pick your own berry farms and perhaps you could find out if these farms can sell a couple of strawberries. |
