Primrose / Oenothera invasive?

I just bought a pink primrose from the nursery, only to find they are considered highly invasive in some zones. An experienced gardener tells me she doesn't find it invasive here in Ontario. Is anyone experienced with this plant and can give me their comments/advice? I want to put it in a small rocky area, full sun, surrounded by mixed perennials.

Do you have the full latin name? There are many different Oenothera.

It has pink flowers so I believe it is Oenothera berlandieri. Not 100% sure, because the tag said they are hardy to zone 4.

I bought the same one last year. It was planted in a 3' wide raised bed. This year it has popped up across the bed. Since I really like it, I don't plan to pull any out. I will just plant complimentary colors (probably blue and purple) around it. If any ends up in a place I really don't want it, I will pull it out and transplant it into my rock garden. Marg
