View Royal's spectacular contrast

It's tough to capture February prunus blossoms vs the mountain snow. But the dry summers in Greater Victoria allow for the camera to capture 8 USDA zones in one single image. The photo holds contradictions as a La Nina snowpack can be seen along with a palm, an aspect of the global warming trend. The palm is located in Canada while the snow is property of the U.S.(Olympic Mountains). I like this paradox aspect of the scenery. The world of physics is indeed beyond political borders and perceptions.

The are properties in View Royal, BC on a sun-facing slope that allows for views of awesome sunsets over the Olympic Mountains and the ocean.
