Decorate an empty wall

Your Petunias should look like this, by now.Most people don't want to cut them, but you have to take the old blooms off and cut down about two inches.(don't worry they grow back)and will be fuller and more you cut off the blooms, more blooms you will have Petunias can bloom till November (my do...up in the mountains)I even had some snow on them last year.

Petunias get spindly by the middle of summer. I have had to cut mine back twice. They need to be fed regularly. One way to do it is to use slow release fertilizer when planting them. Or alternatively, use weak fertilizing solution whenever you water.

Mine have been like that all summer too, Gur, and i have no idea why. They were planted with slow-release fertilizer and later watered with liquid fertilizer once a week. I deadheaded, cut them back... to no avail. People offer me the same advice, but i've done all that. I guess we just move on and hope for better petunias next summer! :)
