Allium late in blooming

This is a quirky allium from the August 14th garden entry. I'm curious if anyone else has similar plants that have waken up a couple months late?

A couple years ago we had a single tulip open the end of July about a month and a half after the other 5 in the batch. It never happened the next year but don't know if that particular tulip was among the bloomers.

Some Allium do bloom this time of year. Allium thunbergii and Allium tuberosum come to mind....
