I bought garden mums (though I was told the name as hylotelephium spectabile, when I posted their photo on garden web to know the name, but now I recall that they were garden mums) last year and kept one indoor during winter, in summer I could divide the plants and their roots into many plants. Now they are outside and growing well but not blooming. what should i do? thanks

Mums are late bloomers. There seems to be buds on the plant to the right. Be patient!

RE: Garden mums not blooming

Yes, it's too early for most mums to bloom. They should bloom in Sept., Oct., or even Nov. if they're late varieties. Shorter daylengths prompt mums to bloom, but every cultivar is different. That's why they bloom at various times.
