Leaves on figs are well known to drop because of even the slightest change. You changed it's location (it moved from the store to your home), and you repotted it. Neither of those are bad things, but figs are very sensitive to change and so the leaves dropped off. The tree will eventually grow new ones, so don't worry. Do not fertilize it now!!! It now has fewer leaves so it will also need less water - do not overwater it. Because the summer growing season is almost over, you may not see any new leaves forming until the spring - when you see some signs of new growth, then it is time to give it some fertilizer.

Cannas should be much taller than 10 inches, even the dwarf ones. Did it get any bigger last year? Is it outside in the sun or inside in a window? They don't do that well as houseplants unless you have them in a big bright window. I would not fertilize this right now either. I grow my Cannas outdoors and cut the leaves off and bring the roots in to store in a box over the winter. Yours might not survive if you do this because it is very small - I would keep it in a pot in a window and hope it survives. Water it when the soil starts to dry out, but do not fertilize it until April.
