Glads should bloom in three years from seed. Some may try to bloom in the second year. Some people advocate cutting those blooms off so that the plant can concentrate on building up the corm.

Babies or offsets should bloom in two years.

Thanks Bonnie. I guess it is worth the effort then. Right now they are still in the baggie, so I'd better get them planted soon. I've always started out with a lot of corms, and lose quite a few to the squirrels, so from seed and offsets would be a much cheaper way to feed them!
