Penstemon layering

November 26 and it's still gardening weather here in the Ontario banana belt! This morning I moved some Penstemons from the nursery bed to their new home and I noticed that a couple of them had naturally layered. I didn't know this about Penstemons-- good to have an easy way to propagate for new plants.

that is a surprise. So were you able to make any more plants from them or were they not layered so that they were able to be separated.
