Is anyone growing Abelia mosanensis?

| I'm thinking of getting one but,though they look terrific,they're darned expensive. What's your experience with this species?

| I have had one since fall of 2008. It came through the winter well in Guelph, and bloomed a bit this past summer. it is still small, so I can't say much about it, except I am glad to have it. I got it from a friend who has an annual plant sale in Hamilton. |

| Bev I have had an Abelia mosanensis now for 3 years. It was purchased in a gallon nursery liner, and has grown by leaps and bounds since. Because of its fast growth, it needed to be pruned hard to keep its shape.The abelia is planted in a mixed border, with good sun, but a bit of afternoon shading from a huge pine on the other side of the driveway. It bloomed for the first time last year, and has quickly become one of my favorite understated shrubs in the garden. Hope this has helped |
