Thank you Ian, for the great list. Now that we have that, does anybody have any personal favorites?

I highly recommend Cedar Hollow Rose Farm in Vernon BC in 2005 we ordered from them. Their help with selecting roses for our harsh climate, the packaging and shipping, but most of all the quality of the roses themselves were the best. They have an excellent selection of roses suited for growing in Canada and a free catalogue that tells you everything you need to know, even in one case telling why they donÂt really like a particular rose.

Funny you should recommend that one, Leo. We LIVE in Vernon! Cedar Hollow Rose Farm is actually in Lumby, a mere 15 minute drive away. So nice to know I can find great roses and nicely priced too, so close by... And maybe I can visit my redneck bro' while I am there too!

I can recommend Cedar Hollow as well as Old Rose Nursery: http://www.oldrosenursery.com/about.htm. It is also in BC. I have purchased over the past several years six own-root roses from these two nurseries and all are doing great and bloomed the first year.
