Yucca recurvifolia variegata

The regular green is probably the most common yucca on the island but the variegated Y. recurvifolia can be found in nurseries from time to time. I use this yucca for out-of-season colour. It saves on summer watering and can tolerate all kinds of winter rainfall as long as flooding is short-lived. This yucca would not know the difference if I planted it on top of the Malahat. It's a very hardy evergreen plant. This type of cultivar is usually more lime in colour.
