Sounds like your cannas have been attacked by leaf rollers. Mine have had them before too, and it sure makes them look ugly. You can read about leaf rollers and how to get rid of them in the FAQ (frequently asked questions) at the top of this forum. I usually cut off the part that is contaminated and throw it away. It's really hard to get the insecticide spray down into the curled up leaf.

I have big problems with grasshoppers.. Anyone know how to get rid of those? I get BIG grasshoppers and I cant stand those. They eat my plants up. I dont have leaf rollers..

Not in my canna, but a few huge grasshoppers ate so much of my lemon tree in just a couple of days. They seemed to be slow enough for me to just pick them off and kill them. I probably killed 7 of them in two day and then no more.

I am in Alabama and LOVE my cannas and cut them down last year after leaf rollers got them well they are back and have found my new canna bed as well wher I have grown new cannas from tuber. What is BT, where can I buy it and is it mixed in with something else? What is the name I need to look for to purchase some. I need help quick as my cannas are starting to be eaten! Also does the BT work on grasshoppers as they will be here soon. I'll try anything just HELP please!
