tissue culture starts

I see some online vendors are offering tissue culture starts. Sounds like a good way to avoid the dreaded canna virus. Could I expect to grow a full size blooming plant in a season in zone 6 from these starts?

Hello,
I am not familiar with the tissue culture starts, or using it with cannas, but i would like to know more about it. can you tell me some more?

I am by no means an expert but tissue culture is a form of propagation were plants are reproduced under laboratory conditions using very small tissue or cells from the mother plant. Many many clones can be raised by this method. I think this method started with orchids and is now branching out to others plant species.

Could I expect to grow a full size blooming plant in a season in zone 6 from these starts?

Last year I ordered a TC start of Canna 'Orange Punch' in early March and it was blooming by June. I would go for it.
