Cut Cannas

Hi! I'm thinking about ordering Cannas from Horn, but have a question first. I read that they do not make good cut flowers... BUT, exactly how long do they survive in a vase. Do they last at least two days? or three? or even one?

Also, the dwarf varities say they grow three feet. Does that mean the flower has a three foot stem?

I have no idea how long the cut flowers will last, but my wife will go out there and cut off some leaves for her arrangments.

My dwarfs are range from 3' +/- 6inches. I have never actually taken a measurement of the stems or the peak of the blooms. I just know that I am 5'6" and they range from my hips to my chest. I say order'em and grow'em cause you love'em. Plus they are soooo easy to grow for such a beautiful reward. Everyone here thinks I am a master gardener because of my cannas. Ohh if the only knew.
