Cannas in the wind

Johnnie B--your backyard is gorgeous! You must have NO wind! I am curious about your many did you plant and how long til you get that nice clump??? I looks like you have a 3' clump at least. I have live out in the country with wide open spaces and the wind whips like mad. But I can drool...LLOLOLLOLOL

I too have to worry about wind, as we have a wind tunnel coming up from the river below us. However, when I consider that canna grow on the edge of some roads, where there is a lot of wind from transports, as well as from the open space, then I don't worry quite so much. They are pretty strong plants.
